In 1989, Dr. Frey went into private practice and had worked mostly on his own since that time. As an independent psychologist, Dr. Frey has provided individual, marital, and family therapy as well as conducted thousands of psychological evaluations. As his private practice expanded, the needs of the legal community convinced him to move into forensic work where he became proficient in evaluating custody and visitation disputes, making recommendations to the court in domestic disputes, and testifying in the courtroom. He also branched out into the world of corporate consulting and has developed both national and international clients who rely on him to hire the right people for the right job.
Dr. Frey has conducted learning disability evaluations for students of all ages, forensic evaluations in both civil and criminal courts, and independent medical evaluations to establish fitness for duty. Because of his qualifications in assessment, he was recruited as a consultant in 2018 to work with National Security Psychological Services. NSPS provides psychological consultations to nuclear facility sites all over the US. He is part of an elite team of psychologists and psychiatrists who perform these evaluations.
